I love dogs and the human-canine connection. I support and have been a Guide Dogs for the Blind volunteer since 2001. Trained as a "sighted guide," I see the challenges and needs and fight for accessibility for all people. I am also active in the fight for the planet and donate time and money to organizations devoted to lifting up marginalized communities. My current focus on racial justice is inspired by being active in the Oakland social justice community. As a volunteer and patron of local organizations like Ella Baker Center for Human Rights, Initiate Justice and Legal Service for Prisoners with Children I understand the impact that working local can bring. Wake Up has been a touchstone and anchor for my personal waking up. Together with my sister, I am co-facilitating a new group Wake Up for professional white women.
Design is my passion. As Creative Director for 2Plus2 Partners, my focus is on concept visualization and messaging to provide clear, succinct communication across all media. Design and user experience are at the forefront of everything we do. It drives the work to transform complex tasks into intuitive, accessible, and easy-to-use designs for clients everywhere. My degree from UF’s College of Journalism & Communications has honed my attention to message and media to guarantee expressive, compelling content and a strong attention to detail.
