Facilitator
(he/him), white-identified (Italian/German)
Jordan is an artist, facilitator, storyteller, community builder, and martial arts instructor. He is dedicated to co-creating and holding intentional spaces that invite vulnerability, presence, and courage.
His work as a self-defense instructor for women led him into a personal awakening and reckoning with his own actions and behaviors and a deeper awareness of the conditioning he internalized as a large, white, able-bodied, cis man. This ongoing process of sitting with grief and shame, and cultivating self-compassion guided him to close his dojo and embark on a new path. Through Team Builder Dojo he leads peer support circles and provides training for men to unlearn toxic conditioning and cultivate the soft skills needed to form bonds of trust with one another.
Jordan explored multiple practices for compassionate communication and relationship-building, but it wasn't until working with Holistic Resistance that he felt a sense of ease and rightness in his body. Without addressing white supremacy culture, gender conditioning, and trauma none of the other practices felt whole. He completed a facilitator training with Holistic Resistance to better integrate their approach to anti-racism through relationship-building into his life and work.
